Culworth Parish Council Meetings and Correspondence
All meetings of Culworth Parish Council are open to members of the press and public who may request copies of the agenda, which are available 3 working days prior to the date of the meeting
Members of the public on the electoral roll of Culworth who wish to raise matters for the attention of Culworth Parish Council should contact the clerk at least one week in advance of the meeting to ensure that the item, where appropriate, is placed on the agenda.
Members of the public on the electoral roll of Culworth may address Culworth Parish Council in the open meeting, when standing orders have been suspended, normally held after the minutes of the last meeting have been approved. Comments and views made in this open session will be taken into account when the item is discussed at its place in the agenda.
If parishioners wish to make representations about a planning application at a Parish Council meeting, SNC rules apply; 3 minutes for presentation with a further 5 minutes discussion if necessary. For a pre-application discussion with the Parish Council, please contact the clerk.
Items of business not on the agenda but raised in the open meeting will not normally be considered at the meeting in progress, but will be considered for inclusion on the agenda for the next parish council meeting.
All items of correspondence are formally noted by Culworth Parish Council and are public documents.
Culworth Parish Council will not consider anonymous letters and will not normally, unless there is overwhelming reason to do so, consider items of correspondence as confidential.
Members of the public can of course approach Parish Councillors and the Parish Clerk outside of council meetings on any matter concerning the parish or parish council business.
