New Village Hall
Despite the evidence from the Village Plan that a new Village Hall was wanted by the village at a public meeting in July 2004 the vote went against building a new hall.
Therefore the committee is undertaking extensive internal work to the hall; insulation to the roof, ceilings and walls, renovation to the ladies to make it suitable as a disabled toilet. This work will be carried during the early part of 2006.
Parking and access because of the steps will remain a problem.
Playground/Youth Shelter
Parish Council has £1,000 in budget towards a youth shelter. Attempts to involve the community police and Northamptonshire Youth Service have been unsuccessful. However with a successful bid for funding for summer activities during the summer of 2006 consultation with young people is at an all-time high and we hope to move things along to have a youth shelter in the village.
Clubs
Village Hall committee exploring hosting a cinema club.
Spin-off from youth summer project may bring more permanent activities for young people in the village.
Library in the Church
Established library at the back of the church. Well used by some, help with sorting periodically would be appreciated.
